Rental Requirements

All renters and additional drivers must present a valid, unexpired physical driver's license that remains valid throughout the rental period.

Customers using a foreign driver's license must present their valid license from their home country. An International Driving Permit or other supporting identification may also be required.

First Rent A Car accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and qualifying bank-issued debit cards.

Free cancellation is available on all vehicles up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.

Website reservations are paid at pickup and may be canceled at any time before the scheduled pickup without a cancellation fee.

Customers must arrive at the scheduled pickup time.

If a customer does not arrive on time or contact First Rent A Car, the reservation may be canceled.

Any later rental will be subject to then-current vehicle availability and pricing.

First Rent A Car vehicles carry motor vehicle insurance as required by Hawaii law.

Optional Loss Damage Waiver options may be offered at the rental counter.

The minimum rental age is 21.

Renters between 21 and 24 may be subject to a young renter fee and restrictions on certain vehicle classes.

Additional drivers must satisfy the same rental qualifications as the primary renter and appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.

Vehicles must be returned by the scheduled return time.

Late returns may result in additional charges.

The vehicle must be returned to the location stated in the Rental Agreement.
